Nestled in a scenic mountain location overlooking beautiful hills and valleys, the Green Valley Home stay offers a tranquil and inspiring setting for retreat vacations, walks in nature, and charming views of the surrounding mountains. Green Valley offers spacious accommodation that is part art, part imposing architecture. With large windows and doors that open on to private balconies and a unique design affording privacy but always focusing guests into an open view. Green Valley brings about a rare intimacy between "inside" and "outside".

The scenes of sunset and sunrise from the balconies of the rooms provide a feast for the eyes. The facilities were not only in tune with the parameters of the District Tourism Promotion Council but are even in tune with updated stipulations of the next decades. Artistically designed and furnished by experts, the walls are decorated with mural paintings. The rooms are made more attractive with bamboo blinds instead of ordinary curtains,weaved by Uravu, an NGO promoting tribal handicrafts. Even from the time of construction more space have been given to utilization of locally available materials and application of indigenous technologies.

 

The dexterity of local craftsmen could be felt at each portion of the house. The hand-railing of the staircase were made of coconut wood. Most of the furniture was made of cane. The ultra modern products like plastic and artificial fiber, endangering the ecosystem, have been kept at bay.

Windows are opened to the nature, allowing the cool breeze as well as light into the room.

The ambience around the palatial home is ideal for a nature lover. There are around two dozen varieties of birds chirping on tree-tops in the morning and evenings. The artistically designed lawn at the front of the Home Stay is so arranged that visitors could feel the nature’s moods with close intimacy.
